It was thanksgiving night at
Adrian's last night. I'm glad many turned out.. lemme see.. there was
qinggui, yifan, andrew, jiahui, kokheng, edson, ruth, david, daphne,
jialiang, debbie, janetta, pauline, zhichun, tianen, jieling, kelvin
kuan, nicholas, kokwai, my sis, luke, huiping, shiping, merrill,
aikhui, aikbin, xuan xuan, joyce, wendee, mel, adrian and I. (i missed
out 3 ppl whom i can't recall)
The potluck dinner with YFers will always be OUTSTANDING. Mashed
potato with bacon bits, cheesy mussels with tomato sauce, salad, almond
jellies, curry chicken, fried rice, lagsane, spaghetti, cheesecakes...
*Yum yum* Then we had games and some sharings. Games were really fun
and i think qinggui did put a lot of effort in it. And we ended the
night with a video of a recent YF camp. The camp was pure genius! It
looked so fun! Couldn't participate because I was outfield.. sigh.
It was then that my nightmare began. Sitting in a car with Zhichun as
the driver is not recommended for weak hearts. During the journey, we
backed into a car while trying to steer out of a parallel carpark, rode
over humps at high speed, nearly scratched a lorry from the sides, have
to deal with a laughing driver who doesn't really know the way, drove
into an incoming lane, swerving into turns in the last minute... Hey,
but i got home safely. Haha. I don't mind taking another ride another
time. Bring it on!
School's starting for most youths in church. Aye, and i'm preparing to travel down south to Newzealand.
71 days to ORD.
Thank God for the trying moments in the Army. I believe there's
somewhere inside me that's change for the better or improved. And thank
God for showing me that a military career is DEFINITELY not for me.
27 days
to Chinese NEW YEAR. A time to get lots of angbaos, but more
importantly, it marks the beginning of PROJECT "The Point of No Return"
aka, clearing of leaves and offs!!
8 days to NEW ZEALAND!!
It's gonna be so fun!! Ahha. Thanks iris for offering your beanies and
gloves. Thanks aikhui for loaning your gortex jacket to me(i think i
lost mine). I'll take lots of beautiful pictures for all of you out there k?
3 days

Here's a toast to 2005 and let's welcome 2006
This time last year:
New Year Resolution for 2005
- Get my driving license
- Learn 5 close-up magic tricks that impresses me
- Document everything I will learn in 6 months during my attachment to Sunday School for primary students
- Finish Romance of the 3 Kingdoms in Chinese
- Help the tenors and basses of Church choir to improve their vocals
- Practice piano every weekend and take up lessons.. I want to be VERY good at it.
- Read the bible everyday and be a useful Fisher of Men
Get my driving license
Nope. No driving license
yet. It's sad but true. I couldn't fathom why I'd need a license now
cuz I don't have a family car in the first place and I can't afford one
too. *excuses* But seriously, it cost a lot juz for the lessons and i'd
rather not add extra burden to my already hardworking dad and mom.
Learn 5 close-up magic tricks that impresses me
Well, currently I have only 3
tricks up my sleeve so it means I haven't been successful as well.
Goodness, when will I be as good as Dev or Mark?
Document everything I will learn in 6 months during my attachment to Sunday School for primary students
I've totally forgotten about that.
Finish Romance of the 3 Kingdoms in Chinese
I don't want to dwell on this.. .Skip. =P
Help the tenors and basses of Church choir to improve their vocals
I cannot say I haven't exactly
tried but it's really difficult to help them because I realise I'm not
that good myself, sadly. But I did try and some of them have made
encouraging improvements.
Practice piano every weekend and take up lessons.. I want to be very good at it
Sadly, I didn't accomplish this
as well. Did not practice every weekend, did not take up lessons cuz it
was too expensive for me and in the end, I haven't been very good at it
and can only still memorise As The Deer.
Read the bible everyday and be a useful Fisher of Men
I read the bible for most of the year but haven't been a
good fisher of men. 0 success stories so far and I'm not proud of it AT
ALL.
All in all, it has to be a
very disappointing year because I haven't accomplish what I've set out
to accomplish and THIS has to end. I've got to be more focused and
disciplined, I realised. Maybe having to spend most of my time in the
army affects some of my plans so I'll not be too harsh on myself. Let's
see if I can do better in 2006.
NEW YEAR RESOLUTION for 2006
- Gain more muscle mass and weigh around 73kg
- Learn to have a more positive outlook in life and have more confidence in myself
- Save up at least $2000 at the end of the year
- Pass my Basic Traffic Theory
- Get a girlfriend/s *grin*
- Help edmund get a girlfriend
- Write more english and chinese essays
- Make a short film
- Cut an album
- Take up piano lessons
- Help to stabilise NJC Chorale's admin and logistics
- Inspire church choir friends to know more about choral music and a willingness & drive to improve
- Learn 2 more close-up magic tricks to make up for 2005
- Bring 2 friends to church
- Score really well in my studies
- Learn to forgive those who has not been really kind to me
- Fast to listen, slow to anger, slow to speak
- Be more caring and understanding to my sister Angela
- Have another JC class gathering in December
- Get myself a CREATIVE ZEN VISION!!
20 resolutions. Wow. And I was hoping my resolutions would a bit
simpler than last year's. Maybe the prospect of ORD-ing soon as gotten
to my head too much and suddenly I feel like I'm Superman. But you have
to forgive me because I have to restrain so much of myself during this
2years 2 months of service to the country and I yearn to express the
real ME during this new exciting year of 2006 when I'm expecting WEST
HAM to stay up (esp above Everton, Newcastle and Tottenham), watch
World Cup 2006 and see England lose in the Final, ORD and see my pink
IC once more, pick up books and mugging again, travelling,
experimenting, having fun, partying, lots of jalan jalan with friends,
make more new friends, sing a lot more and be a lot more independant
than 2005.
With so much to look forward to, I can't see why 2006 would be a dour
affair. What about yours? Hey, I wish everyone I know a very successful
2006 and a happy one too. Seek God and His ways and everything else
will fall nicely in place. Have a good holiday on 2 January 06 to
recharge for another year of hustle and bustle. Keep reading my blog
and tag people.
I love all of you!
Emmanuel (which means God be with you)

 Undecided
Class: Seraph
Alliance: Undetermined
It's difficult to say where you would stand in the war between good and evil because you are at war with yourself. There is both light and darkness within you and you have not made up your mind about which side to follow. There are many roles that you might play, spy, mercenary, but it is always hard to tell whose side you are on.
Your Angelic Name: Geminus
